Duck Race 29th August 2026
The 2026 Duck Race took place on the 29th August at 2pm — a fun, family-friendly community fundraiser with big heart and bright impact.
Why it matters
All profits raised go to the local Shakespeare Hospice.
As a result of the event a donation of £5000-00 will be presented to the Shakespeare Hospice
The fist prize of £150, was won by a Canadian family on holiday in Stratford who have donated the £150-00 prize to the Hospice.
£100 and £50 prizes were won by local people in Stratford and they have been presented with their winnings. The second prize winner has donated his winnings to the Mayors Charity for 2026, which will be shared between three local groups including the Hospice
The Corporate Duck race winner receives the Duck Trophy for 12 months. This year the corporate race was won by MRT architects.
A big thank you to The Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon Councillor Sam McNaught Barrow who made a short speech of welcome and then with a countdown started the ducks on the race to the finish.
Thanks also the members of Startford Boat Club for transporting the ducks to the release point at the weir and to Stratford Sea Cadets who identified the winning ducks and then helped collect all the remaining swimming ducks who did not quite reach the finish.
Finally a big thank you to members and freinds of The Rotary Club of Stratford upon Avon for organising the logistics and for selling all the tickets to make the event a great success.
